Introduction

Welcome to one of Multi-Tech's family of ProxyServers. The

information provided in this Installation Manual enables you to

unpack, install, and configure your ProxyServer. A list of specifica-

tions is included, and you are referred to the ProxyServer User

Guide for step-by-step procedures for setting up your LAN clients

for surfing the Internet.

ProxyServer

The ProxyServer acts as a central dial-out Internet access point

for all your network clients. It enables all your network clients to

simultaneously share one modem or ISDN TA, a regular dial-up

account from your ISP, and a single IP address that can be either

dynamic or static.

Client PC

To configure the ProxyServer, one of your Windows 95 or Win-

dows NT client PCs on the LAN must have a CD ROM drive for

installing the ProxyServer Utilities that are necessary for configur-

ing and operating your ProxyServer.
