Setting Up the RF825 to Work with
a PPTP Client
Step 1 – Network Setup
1. Log into your RF825.
2. Select the Networks & Services > Network Configuration screen.
3. Enter the PPTP Pool Name you want to create for this network connection.
Example: PPTP-Pool.
4. Enter the IP Address and Subnet Mask of this network.
Note: The IP address will have to be a True Network IP address which you can figure out
using a subnet calculator once you know how many clients will be using PPTP.
For Example: 192.168.2.128 with subnet mask of:
1 client needs a subnet mask of 255.255.255.252
5 clients need a subnet mask of 255.255.255.248
13 clients need a subnet mask of 255.255.255.240
29 clients need a subnet mask of 255.255.255.224
61 clients need a subnet mask of 255.255.255.192
125 clients need a subnet mask of 255.255.255.128

5. Click the Add button to add the network list which will display at the bottom of the screen.
